Generational change at WEHRLE
On January 1st, 2018 Heiner Steinberg took over as CEO of WEHRLE-WERK AG, carrying out the planned change of generations within the owner family. His predecessor and uncle, Volker Steinberg, had retired from this function on June 30th, 2017 already. The 158-year old tradition of the family-run company passes therewith from the 5th to the 6th generation of the descendants of Wilhelm Wehrle, the company founder.
With this change, Erwin Muehle regularly retired from his functions as Board Member of WEHRLE-WERK AG and as Managing Director of WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH on December 31st, 2017, but continues to work for both companies as consultant.
Johannes Buss, previously in the Managing Board of WEHRLE-WERK AG became Head of the Energy Technology Division at the same date. As General Manager of WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH, Dr. Bernd Fitzke heads the Environmental Technology Division. The Manufacturing Division is managed by Wolfgang Schumacher.
The central departments Controlling & Purchasing, managed by Michael Kloke, Human Resources / Education & Training, managed by Sabine Gleichauf and Marketing & Strategic Sales, managed by Robert Koerner, execute an overall function, working for all business divisions.
The persons mentioned above represent the new Management Team of WEHRLE. Special thanks go to the retired persons who managed the company in a forward-looking and considerate way over the last years. WEHRLE continues to stand for innovation, reliability, sustainability and trustful cooperation with its partners.
