WEHRLE gains third order for leachate treatment in Russia

With the conversion and the upgrade of an industrial waste water treatment plant to ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) in Kaluga (Russia), WEHRLE not only helped a customer to significantly improve its water footprint, but also encountered great interest amongst plant operators in this region.

Thanks to the reliably high discharge quality of this reference plant, WEHRLE scored twice more in Kaluga in 2018. Following first order in September, the responsible contractors‘ partners signed the agreement for the second landfill leachate treatment plant of WEHRLE shortly before the end of the year.

The scope of delivery includes two 40-feet containers for the pretreatment and the three-step-reverse-osmosis-system as well as a 20-feet-container for the permeate tank. Especially the compact container construction was interesting for the customer. Not only because construction costs can be saved but also a swift commissioning is possible.

WEHRLE is looking forward to supporting the new construction of the landfill in Kaluga with its know-how in the field of leachate treatment and its outstanding process technology.
Commissioning of the plant will take place in summer 2019.
