WEHRLE receives the "innovative through research" seal
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Stiftverband collects annual data on research and development of the German economy focusing on education, science and innovation. Due to its diverse commitments in those fields, WEHRLE receives the "Innovative through Research" seal for WEHRLE-WERK AG and WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH.
Besides several inhouse research projects in advanced process technologies and process components, WEHRLE is also involved in funded research projects such as the following:
- "WEISS" (Efficient recirculation of cooling water by integrated desalination in the steel industry)
- "BioMeth" (Biological methanization from membrane gassing in a whey pilot biogas plant)
- "P-XTRACT" (A process for the recovery of phosphorus from sewage sludge ash for the production of ash fertilizer)
