It is already the fifth project WEHRLE will carry out with its Thai cooperation partner E-Square: The construction of a wastewater treatment plant for the waste transfer station “Nhong Kham” in the south of Bangkok.
Viridor, one of Great Britain’s leading waste management companies whose core business is recycling and the production of renewable energies, has awarded the contract for the planning and delivery, the construction and commissioning of a leachate treatment plant based on the BIOMEMBRAT® process (membrane bioreactor MBR process) as well as the maintenance for one year to WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH.
Starting in 1996 with the commissioning of the first leachate treatment plant at Scheinberg Landfill near Lörrach, WEHRLE has now been awarded the follow-up contract for the basic remodeling and modernisation of the plant.
The seemingly impossible task: To handle a combination of the liquid manure from over 200,000 pigs, along with the wash water from their stalls, totaling over 4,000 m³/d, in a region where the ground remains frozen for long periods, and therefore use as a fertilizer and land spreading is simply not an option.
June 2014 - WEHRLE Umwelt GmbH demonstrates once again its strong position as a worldwide leader for landfill leachate treatment plants and gains a new order for a landfill leachate project in Oran/Algeria.
